General Information

How long are the tours?

The amount of time it will take to see everything in the Village and Museum varies greatly between visitors. We recommend you plan a minimum of 1-2 hours for your visit or bring a picnic lunch and plan to spend the whole day!

 

What are your hours?

Am I allowed to take photos?

You most certainly can! If you decide to take photos and post them to social media, please tag us (@LincolnPioneerVillagelpvdirector), so we can see them! Or send them directly to us at: lpvdirector@gmail.com

Can I be a volunteer?

We are always looking for individuals who are interested in becoming a volunteer and helping us bring history to life. For more information on the process of becoming a volunteer and to fill out an application, CLICK HERE.

The Village & Museum is a combination of both indoors and outdoors. We recommend that you come dressed according to the weather!

Do you do guided tours?

YES! You choose. 

  • The Village & Museum is self-guided (but you can also request a guided tour), which allows visitors to spend as much or as little time exploring the Village property and our historical buildings as they would like. 
  • We also offer guided larger group tours; where we offer educational programs, for more information and to book a tour, CLICK HERE. 

When visiting on one of our Heritage Days many of our historic cabins are staffed by costumed interpreters who provide information pertaining to that cabin, its artifacts and its pioneer heritage.

Do you have food onsite?

We usually do not; however, food is available during our special events. When it is not, we would be happy to suggest local restaurants for your to visit. 

Is the Village wheelchair accessible?

Inside the Museum is accessible. The Village grounds has limited wheelchair accessibility.
